Small Sided Games – All in Attacking Zone to Score

Small Sided Games (SSG):

This Small Sided Game is an absolute lung buster and perfect for your Pre Season training or boosting fitness during the season.

Split the pitch into equal 3rds.

Defensive Zone, Midfield Zone, Attacking Zone.

There are no goalkeepers in this game, so no getting out of fitness training for them.

The only rule in this game is that for a Goal to count, ALL of the players from the attacking team MUST be in the attacking zone when the ball goes in the net.

This leads to full on counter attacks from both sides as the play switches from one attack to another.

If players break out and one player is struggling to keep up, then it gives the attacking team a dilemma.

They have to check their run and try and keep the ball.

As the game progresses it will become more tactial with teams leaving players upfront for a break but potentially running the risk of conceding because the face an overload.

Fast paced end to end action guaranteed in this one.

Small Sided Games – All in Attacking Zone to Score – What to except

Expect a really fast paced start with teams belting from one end to the other. Gradually as players start to tire they will release they have to play their way in and create openings.

They will understand that the opposition can’t break on them every time so will take more risks with their passing.

It’s a really good Small Sided Game to put on at the end of tough session, in particular a Pre Season fitness one.
