A UK Parliament petition is calling for a £1 levy on tickets for top-level football matches (such as the Premier League) to help fund community 3G football pitches

The aim is to take a small £1 portion from the revenue generated by each ticket sold at the highest level of the game and reinvest it into grassroots football, supporting local clubs, schools, and young players.

With millions of tickets sold every season, this £1 contribution from overall ticket income could create a major fund to build new artificial pitches and improve facilities across the country.

3G pitches can be used all year round, meaning more matches, more training, and more opportunities for communities to stay active and involved in football.

The idea is to use the success of elite football to strengthen the foundations of the game and improve access for future generations.

In short: a small share of top-level ticket revenue helping grow football from the ground up.

Currently this is a completely independent idea of Reeces.

So far he has got 828 signatures which have been accumulated through Instagram and tik Tok.

1 creator called George Horton did a video on it which got it 100 signatures in 1 day but other than that, it’s been entirely him.

It’ll be out 3 weeks tomorrow.

His plan is to get at least 1k and then go for some famous pundits and footballers as on the right platform, this will get the signatures.

George proves this as he’s only a 20k creator. I’ve only got 1k on insta and tik tok so with the right platform it will get the signatures it needs.
